In March 2015 OWOS launched a fundraising campaign for a Mobile Dental Clinic (MDC) by organizing the first Dar Smile Music Festival (DSMF). The festival was held from 4 to 7 March 2015 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The DSMF 2015 brought a premier classical music experience to Dar es Salaam. The festival consisted of four evenings of performances by a group of professional musicians from The Katarina Gurska School in Madrid, Spain. The Katarina Gurska School is famous for its musical instruction. The School sent a group of six instrumentalists to Dar es Salaam for DSMF 2015 including: Cecilia Bercovich (viola), Vicente Alberola (clarinet), Bruno Vlahek (piano), Lucia Otero (cello), Georgy Vasilenko (violin), and Sergey Teslya (violin).
